Essosolim Apollinaire Abi

CO-FOUNDER AND DATA SCIENCE LEAD

Apollinaire is a mathematician and economic researcher with an interest in studying how new technologies can efficiently help developing countries fight poverty and achieve economic growth. He is currently a predoctoral research fellow at The University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, working with Professor Oeindrila Dube and Dr. Abhilash Mishra. He is also a researcher at Equitech Futures, where he studies technology adoption in Africa and teaches courses on data science and AI in Togo. Technically, he has working experience with Python, R and STATA.

Apollinaire holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Mathematics and a postgraduate diploma in Economics and Computer Science from Ashoka University in India. He also holds a diploma in Entrepreneurial Leadership from the African Leadership Academy in South Africa. At Ashoka University, he was an undergraduate teaching assistant in the departments of Mathematics and Computer Science. He later joined the African Centre of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases (ACEGID) in Nigeria as an intern for a short run.
